Responsibilities
Mike is primarily responsible for developing and implementing capital and major gift campaigns for a variety of non-profit organizations. He also is experienced in volunteer leadership development, strategic planning and feasibility studies.
Experience
Prior to joining Hodge Cramer (HCA) in 1995, Mike’s background was in advertising and journalism. He began his service at HCA leading the Creative Services Department. In 1997 he moved into a consulting role and by 1998, he was leading his own campaigns with organizations such as Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library. In 2002 Mike was named Senior Consultant and was given his current title of Vice President in 2004.
Professional and Personal Achievements
- In 1999 Mike was the first recipient of the Hodge, Cramer & Associates President’s Award, which is given bi-annually for the outstanding contributions to the growth of the firm.
- Mike wrote the feature article in 2004 Ohio Libraries Magazine
- In 2003 Mike became a Certified Fund Raising Executive with above average scores in prospect identification, solicitation, donor relations, volunteerism and stewardship

Personal
Mike resides in Newark, Ohio with his wife Dawn Egelston, their son Sam, daughter Rachel and their two border collies, Elvis and Elaine.
